Ubisoft is gearing up for The Division 3. According to insider reports, the game will enter full production after the completion of Star Wars Outlaws, set to release in August 2024.
Tom Henderson, a reliable source, confirmed this on X. He stated that The Division 3 will begin production once Star Wars Outlaws is complete. Ubisoft studio Massive Entertainment will handle both games. This means The Division 3 has been in pre-production while Outlaws remains the main focus.
Fans have eagerly awaited a new installment since the release of The Division 2 over five years ago. Ubisoft has continually updated The Division 2 with new content. However, the announcement of The Division 3 brought much excitement.
Despite the good news, the game’s release is still far off. Even if production starts later this year, AAA game development timelines are lengthy. The Division 3 may not arrive until 2026 or later.
