The recently resurrected Gigantic: Rampage Edition is welcoming prospective players with a free trial, eliminating virtually all excuses for anyone who hasn’t taken the leap yet. The 5v5 MOBA brought back to life by Abstraction Games (originally created by Motiga) is temporarily lifting the already low $20 barrier and allowing PC players the chance to see what the revised MOBA/Hero Shooter hybrid is packing.
That said, it does come with one stipulation: the trial can only be accessed via the Epic Games Store. Assuming the divisive Epic Games Store platform isn’t a dealbreaker, you can head on over to the digital storefront to snag the trial. Unfortunately, this means that those on PlayStation and Xbox are excluded from this particular promotional period.
If you’re curious what’s in store for you in the world of Gigantic, check out our review. Overall, we liked what we played and especially loved the art style. Server instability, which should hopefully be long gone by now, and questions about the game’s lifespan were among the highlighted downsides. You can also give the all-new free trial trailer a view down below.
The free trial for Gigantic: Rampage Edition runs from today to June 26th.
Gigantic: Rampage Edition features dynamic and exciting team-based multiplayer gameplay, a unique art style and a diverse roster of 25 playable heroes, each with a set of upgradeable abilities. Players can team up with four other players to control objectives and take down the opposing team’s mighty Guardian, all while protecting their own.
In addition to bringing all of the content from the original game, Gigantic: Rampage Edition introduces a ton of new features, including crossplay support, new heroes, a new game mode, new maps, along with upgraded content and several gameplay improvements. Unlike the original game, Rampage Edition has zero microtransactions as players are able to unlock all content through gameplay or with in-game currency earned by playing the game.
