In a thrilling update for fans, Dead by Daylight celebrates its eighth anniversary with a slew of exciting developments. Announced during a special livestream, these include a new chapter inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, featuring the notorious Vecna as the newest killer, now known as The Lich. This chapter also introduces a fresh survivor, Aestri Yazar the Bard, and a dungeon-themed map called Forgotten Ruins, complete with D&D-style gameplay enhancements such as loot and magical items.
Additionally, fans were treated to the announcement of a much-anticipated 2v8 mode, setting two killers against eight survivors in a larger map with unique gameplay twists. More information on this mode is expected to come in a July livestream.
An unexpected launch, “What the Fog,” also made headlines. This new two-player co-op roguelite game allows players to battle through a monster-filled cartoon universe as Dwight, Claudette, or Feng Min. The first two million copies are free for players with a Behaviour Interactive account.
Updates on other Dead by Daylight projects were also shared. “Project T,” a PvE shooter, is now opening its Insider Program for community feedback. Additionally, a teaser for an upcoming Castlevania crossover chapter later this year adds to the anticipation.
