MAINGEAR Cleans Up Aesthetics With Their MG-RC Cable Management Tech

CES is kicking off and we are already seeing a slew of announcements from the tech event. MAINGEAR wasted no time dropping their news: the reveal of their patented rear connection technology, designated MG-RC, for gaming PC manufacturers. As you might have already guessed, the visually-pleasing approach shifts cables to the rear or underside of the motherboard, giving those with a tempered glass panel an even cleaner look.

The announcement follows in the wake of multiple other manufacturers, like ASUS and Gigabyte, making the switch to cable connections on the back of the motherboard. It’s a trend that is undoubtedly catching on. MAINGEAR CEO, Wallace Santos, added the following to the company’s reveal:

CES 2024 marks a milestone moment for MAINGEAR as we redefine gaming PC aesthetics and performance industry-wide. MG-RC represents MAINGEAR’s relentless pursuit of innovation in the PC gaming space, and embodies our mission to create the ultimate gaming experience through superior products and exceptional service.

Of course, the real excitement surrounding the MG-RC announcement is the product lineup containing the tech, and we were shown a couple examples of what’s in our very near future. First up, we have the MAINGEAR ZERO, a collaboration with MSI. It’s the first of the two unveiled MAINGEAR releases we’ll be seeing in 2024.

This limited-edition rig is powered by the MSI B760M Project Zero motherboard, sporting the MG-RC tech, and is packed within a stunning MSI MAG Pano M1000 PZ white case. The mini-ITX setup boasts a brand-new RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics card, which can be admired through the panoramic glass panels. This beautiful compact PC can be snagged on January 24 at maingear.com/drops. Price wasn’t provided, but MAINGEAR did make a point of stating that supplies are limited and similar product launches have exhausted stock in less than two weeks.

Up next, we have the MAINGEAR NV9: Zero Concept. Here we have another MSI-powered PC, containing an MG-RC compatible MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard as well as MSI’s RTX 4080 Super Ventus 3X OC graphics card. Further cramming in the high-end components, the NV9: Zero Concept will be pairing that GPU with Intel’s i9-14900K, a beastly but divisive CPU that’ll need a fair bit of cooling. Fortunately, that part is covered. A massive 420mm Phanteks Glacier One AiO liquid cooler will keep temps low. These components will be laid out in a Phanteks NV9 chassis, one that will sport a customizable in-case high-definition LCD display.

Pricing and release date for the NV9: Zero Concept is not yet available, but we do know that it is targeting a Q1 2024 launch. Be sure to check back with us regularly to learn more about this particular PC as we start moving through the first several weeks of the new year.
