Evan LeRoy, chef, pitmaster, and owner of LeRoy and Lewis, offered the following comment about the unexpected collaboration.

It was such a great opportunity to get to work with Gun on such an iconic name in Texas and the horror film genre as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. We believe these rubs will go great on anything the gamer/horror fan/bbq enthusiast will choose to put it on!

Press Release

Wes Keltner, CEO of Gun Interactive, gave additional insight as well.

Getting to work directly with the team at LeRoy & Lewis was an unique experience. It’s not everyday that you get to taste test a rub from an award winning BBQ team. The fun part was passing the rub around and asking the team “Does this taste like something Leatherface would use?” I loved every minute of working with L&L and we’re very proud of what we created together.

    Press Release

Those interested can purchase the collection from the official The Texas Chain Saw Massacre website for $39.99. An edition size was not listed, but according to the press release this release has “Extremely limited quantities.”

Finally, if you haven’t checked it out already, you can find our review, or the included official overview for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre below.

Take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims, in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror experience based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film.

As a victim you must use your wits and stealth to stay out of the Family’s reach and find the tools you need to lead to your eventual freedom. Slaughter Family players must seek out, track down, and stop their guests from escaping. Players of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre can finally find out if they have what it takes to survive.

Experience the mad and macabre for yourself in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
