Max Payne Voice Actor James McCaffrey Dies From Cancer

Video gamers may remember the name of James McCaffrey because he’s been the iconic voice of Max Payne. Max Payne was a third-person shooter franchise developed by Rockstar Games.

Well, there’s sad news today because TMZ has reported that James McCaffrey has died from cancer this week. TMZ says he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and died on Sunday surrounded by family and friends.

McCaffrey voiced in the character in Max Payne, Max Payne 2, and Max Payne 3. More recently, he played the character of Alex Casey in the recently released Alan Wake II.

It’s always sad to see when someone dies from cancer, but it’s great to see his work will be forever remembered by video game and movie fans from around the world.
