Sony PS5 Sells 40 Million Units Worldwide

Sony has now announced that the PS5 console has sold over 40 million units worldwide as of July 16, 2023.

The PS5 console was on sale since November 2020, although sales figures were slower in 2020 and 2021 due to chip shortages. Shortages of chips meant that there weren’t that many PS5 consoles on store shelves at the time.

The chip shortage ended in 2022 and now you can buy a PS5 easily in stores now. Sony has said there are now 2,500 games available for the console as of July 2023.

Are you one of the millions that have bought a PS5 console?
