Last week Bungie finally added Wicked Implement, which is a thrilling race against the clock. After getting the gun players realized there is a catalyst that is locked behind Deep Dives. Since then players have failed to obtain it leading many to believe it isn’t obtainable until sometime in the future. Those theories were proven right and the catalyst is obtainable, providing you know what to do.
To unlock the catalyst you need to complete a Tier 7 Deep Dive. This is done by having each player interact with a floors Toland orb, and completing its optional challenge. For this reason we strongly suggest using LFG since it’s a bit demanding on the third floor.
For anyone unsure if it’s worth the effort, the catalyst gives overflow by collecting Stasis shards. This makes it a great weapon in a Stasis build and with Stasis allies, though if you’re already on the fence it probably won’t change anything.
