Ed Boon Teases Something for This Week

Mortal Kombat co-creator and Chief Creative Officer, Ed Boon, tweeted an unusual teaser.

The tweet, which simply said “this week should be fun” with a dragon emoji has many players speculating the meaning.

Many view the tweet as confirmation Mortal Kombat 12, which rumors suggest will be called Mortal Kombat 1, will be announced sometime this week. The arrangement of letters also suggests this, as everything pointing up could be a reference to 12 on a clock, which falls in line with their previous teaser.

Another popular theory is this is actually a teaser for Sony’s rumored State of Play. These tend to happen around this time of year, and this would make a lot of sense given Sony’s recent purchase of EVO.

Whatever it might be, make sure to stay tuned for more information when it arises.
