The Super Mario Bros. Movie Earns Big Money At The Box Office

While DC and even Marvel may have stumbled this year at the Box Office, it looks like The Super Mario Bros. is currently the best-earning movie of 2023 thus far.

As reported by Box Office Pro, The Super Mario Bros. movie has already earned $195 million in North America. This is a five-day total since the movie opened on a Wednesday instead of a traditional Friday.

From a worldwide perspective, the movie is the biggest animated film opening of all time. The movie has now earned $368 million worldwide already. This beats the previous record of $358 million earned by Frozen 2 back in 2019.

With these numbers, the movie can easily surpass the $1 billion mark. It is also on track to beat the two Sonic movies to be the highest-grossing video game adaptation of all time.

Hopefully, these numbers are enough to convince Nintendo to finally make The Legend of Zelda movie!
