Sony Sells Over 30 Million PS5 Consoles Worldwide

Despite having stock shortages for around two years, Sony has announced that it has managed to sell over 30 million PS5 consoles since its launch in late 2020.

Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan revealed the new sales number at CES 2023. The 30 million mark is up from the 25 million PS5 consoles that were sold in September 2022.

In the same announcement, he mentioned that the stock shortages of the PS5 should be ending. This means 2023 should be the year that you should see the PS5 console on store shelves more often.

2023 will continue to be a big year for the PS5 console with exclusives like Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy XVI on the way very soon.
