Sonic Frontiers Guide: How To Beat Giganto

Sonic Frontiers is out now and there are many bosses called Guardians that you have to beat. One of the earlier Guardians you come across is the annoying boss called Giganto.

Before you fight him, it’s best to grab as many gold rings as possible. There’s a time limit to his boss, and getting more than 100 rings should give you enough time to beat him.

First Phase
The first phase is straightforward as your goal is to get to the head of Giganto to secure a Chaos Emerald. To climb on top of him, all you need to do is run through the blue rings. If you do this successfully, you should get to his head and get the emerald.

Second Phase
When you get the Chaos Emerald, Sonic will turn into Super Saiyan Sonic or Super Sonic as non-Dragon Ball fans will say. Simply attacking him using the Square (X) button will not work because your attacks are too weak.

If you want to beat him, you will have to parry him. All you need to do is position yourself at arm’s length of him and hold the R1 and L1 Buttons (Left and Right Bumpers). You can just hold the buttons down as he punches you and follow the button prompts to lower his health. You don’t have to time parries as holding the buttons down works.

Third Phase
The third phase is similar to the second, but now he will shoot lasers at you. You will have to mash Square (X) to deflect his laser blasts like in a Dragon Ball Z episode. After that, avoid the lasers and parry his punches again.

If you do this multiple times, follow the button prompts to finally defeat him. It’s all about parrying at the right time to defeat him!

If for some reason you fail, don’t retry, If you retry, they will only give you 100 gold rings which isn’t enough time to beat him. Reload your save so you have more than 100 rings to beat him.

We hope this guide is enough info for you to beat Giganto!
