PlayStation VR2 Releases February 2023 for $549.99

Sony finally confirmed PlayStation VR2 will release on Feb. 22, 2023. This launch includes the headset and PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station.

Those interested in picking up PlayStation VR2 will have two different options. There is the base version, which includes the headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headset for at the recommended retail price of $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99 / ¥74,980. Those looking for a bit more can purchase the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle. This package includes all of the aforementioned items, plus a downloadable voucher for Horizon Call of the Mountain. Due to that, it has the slightly higher recommended retail price of $599.99 / €649.99 / £569.99 / ¥79,980.

As for the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station, it will charge both controllers simultaneously and has a suggested retail price of $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99 / ¥5,480.

Those interested will be able to preorder Nov. 15, 2022. For those in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg this will be through PlayStation Direct, with other regions going through participating retail partners. Similar to PlayStation 5, Sony also opened a new site where you can register interest and potentially get an invite to purchase PlayStation VR2. Registering does not guarantee a spot, though many have reported they received an invite almost instantly after applying.

At this time, Sony expects over 20 titles at launch, which we can expect more information on as we get closer to release.
