Part of the fun of a new Pokemon game is figuring out how to actually obtain the new things. Some of these are simple, like you’ll just come across many of the new Pokemon, but others, such as Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant are a bit more demanding. Thankfully, this isn’t too bad for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players out there.
Before you can capture either Pokemon you need to first complete the game and unlock the final area. If you haven’t done this already, this guide will explain how to do that and finish the last area.
Start by heading to Area Zero. Once inside, head to the middle of the room where you’ll be able to teleport to the second terminal.
Once there, keep moving forward until you see the tree pictured above. If you’re unsure, standing next to it will show you where the third terminal is. Naturally, if you end up at the third terminal instead, heading back to this spot will also work. Keep moving forward until you hit the rock formation, which you need to explore. Behind it will be a cave filled with Pokemon.
First and foremost, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant spawn in this cave, but it’s important to note these are version exclusive Pokemon. To get Roaring Moon you need Pokemon Scarlet and, naturally, Iron Valiant is exclusive to Pokemon Violet.
Unfortunately, both Pokemon are uncommon spawns that can take a while to happen. Running around or defeating Pokemon can make it spawn faster, though expect to spend a bit running around. Thankfully, both Pokemon are not single spawn and can be farmed if you want to stock up for trades.
