EPOS revealed a revamp to their popular GSX 1000 sound card, simply called GSX 1000 2nd edition.
The new edition brings some welcome improvements, like a dedicated DAC chip, improved microphone input, and USB-C input.
EPOS describes these changes as follows:
Giving gaming setups worldwide a huge audio advantage, the GSX 1000 External Sound Card from EPOS has become a mainstay in the signal chains of many gamers. Now, the brand is back with second generation of this popular gaming DAC—and this version sees several upgrades. Like its predecessor, the second-generation GSX 1000 features a dedicated DAC chip to deliver exceptional immersion with enhanced audio performance—plus a powerful, clean amplification stage, as well as 7.1 surround sound through EPOS’s proprietary Binaural Rendering Engine. New features include an upgraded 16-bit, 48-kilohertz microphone input, a redesigned Windows-synced volume wheel, USB-C power, and EPOS’s innovative BrainAdapt™ tuning. Of course, 2nd edition still retains many of the staples of the first GSX 1000, including an intuitive LED touch panel, independently adjustable game and chat volumes, reverb and EQ controls, and up to four customizable, savable sound profiles—all accessible with a single touch. It’s time to take your gaming audio into the next generation.
