Lego Announces New Atari 2600 Console Set

Lego already released an NES console set a few years ago, but now you can get your hands on the Atari 2600 toy this year.

Lego will be releasing the Atari 2600 worldwide on August 1st, 2022. The price for the toy in the United States is $239.99. The set comes with 2,532 pieces in total.

The set builds the console itself, some cartridges as well as some mini builds based on the video games of that era. You can read more on what this set offers below from the details on the official website.

  • Find the Easter egg – Did you know that the Adventure game is credited as being one of the first video games to contain an Easter egg? Look out for the LEGO® designer’s tribute to this fun fact
  • Dimensions – Main console model measures over 3 in. (8 cm) high, 13 in. (33 cm) wide and 8.5 in. (22 cm) deep
  • A project for adults – This LEGO® set is part of a range of building sets designed for adult building fans who love collectible models and appreciate impressive design details
  • Quality materials – LEGO® building bricks are manufactured from high-quality materials. They’re consistent, compatible and connect and pull apart every time: it’s been that way since 1958
  • Safety ensured – With LEGO® pieces, safety and quality come first. That’s why they’re rigorously tested, so you can be sure that this model is robust
