The Borderlands spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is nearly upon us and Gearbox has some exciting last-minute news to share with eager players. And it is especially exciting news for friends who don’t plan on picking up the game on the same platform. Thankfully, that formerly unmovable barrier in gaming will not be an issue here.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will support crossplay at launch. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) can all join forces in the fantastical chaos that is Tina’s wild and wacky narrative. The system will funnel through Gearbox’s SHiFT system, wherein players will need to create a unique Crossplay Display Name in order to access the crossplatform matchmaking functionality. The aforementioned display name can be set through the SHiFT website or in-game using Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands‘ social menu.
Of course, you could always go old school and enjoy the simpler days of splitscreen couch co-op with a close friend, if you wish. However you want to enjoy the cooperative journey, the options are there to accommodate.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will launch on March 25th.
