How to upgrade the Sacred Flasks in Elden Ring

Sacred Flasks in Elden Ring are similar to the Estus Flask from Dark Souls. You are given a certain amount of Sacred Flask in Elden Ring and it is up to you whether you want to increase the number of uses or stick with the initial offering.

The Sacred Flask has two uses, one can heal your HP which is called Flask of Crimson Tears while the other can heal your FP which is called Flask of Cerulean Tears. You will have access to two of these flasks as soon as you arrive in the Stranded Graveyard.

With the use of a certain item, the Flasks can be upgraded to increase the capacity and potency and you can reallocate their shared charges.

Without further ado, here’s how to upgrade the Sacred Flasks in Elden Ring:

To upgrade either of the flasks, you must locate two items that are scattered throughout the Lands Between. The first item is Golden Seeds, which you should keep an eye out for throughout your adventure.

For the Golden Seed, if you don’t pick it as your keepsake just before you start the game, the item is usually found at the foot of ethereal saplings. In other words, look for a small golden tree with no leaves, and just at the bottom of it, you will find a Golden Seed.

As for the Sacred Tears, they’re usually found on ruined charges, and finding them, it will make your flasks more potent and powerful.

Where to upgrade the Sacred Flasks

When you have the Golden Seeds or the Sacred Tears in hand, you can use them to upgrade the flasks at a Site of Grace. Please note that the amount of Golden Seed needed to upgrade the flasks increases as you level the Flasks up.
