God of War PC Patch 1.0.1 now live

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studios released God of War PC Patch 1.0.1 today for PC via Steam.

With God of War for PC now available, players who preloaded the game will have to download a small update before launching the game. For those who have not downloaded God of War, the patch will be incorporated into a general download.

Don’t forget to restart Steam client to receive the update immediately.

Here are the patch notes for God of War PC Patch 1.0.1

Performance Improvements

  • Fixed an issue that could cause performance degradations after prolonged play sessions
  • Fixed an HDR issue that could cause scenes to be too dark
  • Fixed a few issues that were causing sporadic crashes
