Sons of the Forest Celebrates Release Date Reveal With New Trailer

It has been a long while since we last heard anything about the survival horror game, Sons of the Forest. The highly anticipated follow-up to Endnight Games‘ 2018 hit, simply titled The Forest, received its initial announcement back at the 2019 Game Awards.

The world was a different place pre-2020. Global events shifted back timelines on numerous exciting releases, of which Sons of the Forest was undoubtedly among. Thankfully, we now have a concrete release date for the cooperative survival title. And the big news has been accompanied by an equally thrilling and terrifying trailer, which you can view below.

There are plenty of cannibals, new and old varietals alike, embedded in the new gameplay video. The notable appearance of firearms should make it slightly easier to go toe-to-toe with the ghastly abominations. And there’s a quick glimpse of some turtle harvesting. Because we all need to outfit our makeshift forts with an absurd amount of water-catching turtle shells.

Sons of the Forest will release on PC on May 20, 2022. Other platforms may follow at a later date, as was the case with its predecessor.
