Even the best players sometimes get stuck. Maybe you weren’t paying enough attention to the game, missed a keyword or didn’t find the person that makes it all click. It happens and while it’s unavoidable, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl does a good job of preventing issues. That isn’t to say you won’t get stuck, as much as there is an easy way to get past any potential issue.
After most key events you’ll have some kind of objective. Find a gym leader, capture this Pokemon, go to this place and the like. Some of these are telegraphed in dialogue, others require some context clues but Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will outright tell you what needs to be done.
By simply pushing the X button, you’ll see the menu screen with various options. At the bottom, by save, is a notification detailing the next task you need to complete. This won’t reveal every secret, but it will tell you what you’re supposed to be working on. Those who get really stuck can also check the map, often times showing the correct path or area to explore. It can save some time, though Pokemon is absolutely a game where you want to craft your own experience.
