Bandai Namco announced the end of digital sales and online services for Jump Force, their short lived Shonen Jump fighting game.
As per the tweet, players will have until Feb. 7, 2022 at 5 PM PST to purchase Jump Force, character pack or character pass for PlayStation 4, PC, Switch or Xbox One. Following that, owners will have until mid-day Aug. 24, 2022 to enjoy its online services. Following that point lobbies, events, leaderboards, rewards, ranked and store will cease to function. Before anyone worries too much, online matches will still exist after online “ends,” it will just be extremely limited. This is important, as there are trophies related to the mode.
Finally, for anyone looking for more information about Jump Force before pulling the trigger, you can find the official overview below:
The most famous Manga heroes are thrown into a whole new battleground: our world. Uniting to fight the most dangerous threat, the Jump Force will bear the fate of the entire humankind.
