Following countless rumors, Sony has officially confirmed their PlayStation Showcase 2021 will take place on Sept. 9 at at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 9:00pm BST / 10:00pm CEST. Sony went on to confirm the showcase should last about 40 minutes and will not feature their upcoming PlayStation VR successor.
While players speculate what those 40 minutes will contain, besides the almost certain appearance of Horizon Forbidden West, some insiders have weighed in on the event.
Xboxera’s Shpeshal Nick confirms we will see the upcoming God of War during this event. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given it’s the perfect opportunity to show it and Nick has said a couple times the upcoming event would feature it. Andy Robinson, editor for Video Games Chronicle, noted there will be some “super announcements” in this event, though no further clues were given. Finally, those still on the fence about Abandoned view this event as the final or at least latest make or break for the Kojima rumors.
