How to Break the Loop and End the Deathloop

Beating Deathloop is no small feat. Players need to first kill the seven Visionaries and then figure out how to defeat them in a specific way if they hope to end the Deathloop. While this is a fairly large task, we wanted to make it a little easier to overcome.

How to Break the Loop and End the Deathloop

Figuring out the intended order

The correct order of stages Karl’s Bay, The Complex, Fristad Rock, and then Updaam. However, before you can actually end the loop, you need to complete the Visionary Leads or at least get to a certain point. We will start by listing all the leads needed to complete Deathloop.

Visionary Leads

  • Chaos Theory
  • Radio Silence
  • Devouring of the Lambs
  • Lost in Transmissions
  • Space Invader
  • Afternoon Delight
  • What Wenjies Want
  • The Ballad of Ramblin’ Frank

Doing all of these will unlock the lead Ending It and ultimately give players the sequence of events needed to complete the game. While most of the leads are relatively straightforward, I do believe the only one that can’t be ignored is Radio Silence, What Wenjies Want and technically Chaos Theory (you complete it by killing Harriet the first time).

Devouring of the Lambs

In the event you’re having issues, Devouring of the Lambs is the only really hard one. It might not be clear what you need to do, which is kind of obtuse. Basically, you need to enter Aleksis’ bathroom, see what his machine is playing, and then change the machine on the lower level to whatever numbers were on the one upstairs.

Ending It

If you’re ready to end the loop or just want to try cheesing it, the steps needed are below.

Editor’s Note: This guide assumes everyone has the same codes. If this is not true, disregard any codes and refer to Deathloop for the correct code.

Morning – Karl’s Bay

Out of all of the tasks, this is by a wide margin the easiest. Enter the airplane hanger and chase down Harriet. I suggest using Shift with the Reach upgrade. This makes it possible to teleport to the otherwise, kill the enemy above, and then teleport through the mines and proceed to kill Harriet. I personally used Aether to quickly eliminate foes, but it’s your call.

After she is dead, exit the hanger and open the shed holding Ramblin’ Frank’s fireworks with the code 3505. Once inside, select the option that mentions rain flaps. Anything besides that one option will ruin the run.

Note: This stage can and often will have Julianna spawn.

Noon – The Complex

All you need to do for this stage is run to Egor’s research station (it’s where you fight him in the evening) and look for an invisible computer. By using a field nullifier, it will appear allowing you to enter the code H318. This will disable it and get make Egor go to Aleksis’ party.

Afternoon – Fristad Rock

This section is actually really important for those trophy hunters out there. Due to the location and simplicity, this spot is the best place to get the following trophies.

  • The G.O.D. of O.S.P.
  • Mighter than the Gun
  • Silent Disco
  • Only the Guilty

On your first attempt, I suggest using Shift and Nexus with Sepulchra Breteira to easily earn the Violent Delights trophy.

To complete the mission, head out the starting door and go right. You’ll see a mountain range behind the billboard, which you need to get on top of. Go down, until it opens up, followed by going right until you hit the shore. Continue left down that going by the ice until you find a hidden entrance.

Enter the location, go down and input the codes 24, 16, 07, 04. Exit through the newly opened down and go down the elevator shaft. On the bottom floor, you should hear Fia and Charlie talking. To get the trophy, hit both of them with Nexus, followed by a quick headshot. If you take too long Fia might use Havoc, giving her enough defense to withstand the blast. After killing both of them, make your way to the exit.

Evening – Updaam

For this stage, you can almost guarantee Julianna will invade and you’ll have your hands full with Aleksis’ party. Not only will he be present, but you also need to kill Wenjie and Egor. The best advice I can give is either be stealthy or attempt to kill Julianna in a place where you can easily collect her body to refill your reprise. As for Ramblin’ Hank, he will blow himself up with fireworks at some point during the mission.

Once every target is dead, head to the RAK building (it’s near the start of Updaam where you use the audio passwords). Get into the RAK and fly it to Julianna.

While this scene can be intense, she generally won’t do anything. You just need to shoot her when she asks and then walk over the edge. This will complete the loop and unlock the trophy One Perfect Day.
