Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut officially announced for PS4 and PS5

Sony Interactive Entertainment officially announced today that Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is indeed coming to both PS4 and PS5. It will launch on August 20.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will retail for $69.99 on PS5 whereas the PS4 version will retail for $59.99. Players who purchased the PS4 version of the Director’s Cut will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for a price of $9.99. Those who already bought the PS4 version of the original game will be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cut for the PS5 for $29.99.

One of the new content included in the Director’s Cut is a new chapter that takes place in Iki Island. In the new chapter, Jin travels to the island to investigate rumors of a Mongol presence. But soon, he finds himself caught up in events with deeply personal stakes that will force him to relive some traumatic moments from his past. More information about the new chapter will be revealed at a later date.

Additionally, players who will be playing the game on PS5 will be able to take advantage of the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It will also have 3D Audio, as well as improved load times and 4K resolution, targeting 60 frames per second.

Ghost of Tsushima is available now for PS4.
