Today, Embody announced Immerse Gaming | Hive, their AI-driven spatial audio software designed to enhance the PC gaming experience.
The idea behind Immerse Gaming | Hive is to use AI to approximate both sound location and create a 3D sound space. If this is confusing, think of Sony’s Tempest engine, Microsoft and their Sonic software or even Dolby Atmos. What makes Immerse Gaming | Hive interesting is that it takes a wide variety of headsets, from popular brands like HyperX, Logitech, SteelSeries and Audeze, and attempts to make the most of the source.
Critics have a lot of positive things to say about the software, citing a more immersive, louder and fuller sound experience without having to buy a headset specifically for the feature.
While some might be put off by the service fee, $14.99 a year or $39.99 for five, there is a free trial to see just how much it adds to your experience.
